Blog #3: Family or Destiny?
One part in the Trojan war is that Aeneas, is being begged by his own wife to stop the war and think of their family.  It is compared to the scene in Iliad wherein Andromache is pleading to Hector in the same logic, to think about their family mostly their son, Astyanax.
So I kind of think that both scenes share the same thought and is usually found in war movies wherein the wife of the character or someone really close is begging to think about their family. It makes me feel sad and it makes me think about my own family too, if I am in that kind of situation.
What I learned in the stories? I think it would probably be the critically and analytically thinking about a difficult situation. It also made me learn that your family is really important and would make you feel nostalgic if you haven't seen them in a while.
So what about their difference? It's pretty hard to see the difference in the two scenes but I think it would be about the correct foreseeing of the death of Hector predicted by Andromache.

Blog #4.2: Ultimate Loss and Ultimate Victory
The poem Aeneid narrates many a lot of things about adventures. Including ultimate loss and ultimate victory. Aeneas suffered terrible loss and defeats that were brought by the Greeks especially because of the Trojan war. The Greeks used a great strategy that brought defeat to the Trojans. They used a wooden horse and told the Trojans that it is a peace offering.

So why is it the ultimate victory of the Greeks? Knowing their strategy well, they really put a lot of effort and time of thinking for it. Since they both want to win, they need to counter every move of at least win by every move they make. If you had lost in your move, you should think of a different move to at least win. That is the logic I think made the Greeks win the Trojan war.

Blog  #4.1: Sympathy for a Hero
Aeneid is one of the masterpieces of a great poet named Virgil. Aeneid’s main character is Aeneas. Aeneas is destined to build the new city for the Trojans. Throughout his journey he faced many problems and challenges that’s why after reading this epic poem I felt sympathy for him. But what are these sufferings?

One of the reasons why I pity Aeneas is that he lost almost everything. He lost his family and even his father. He lost his family during the Trojan war. Another reason is because of Juno one of the Goddesses. She did everything just to make Aeneas fail. She did it because according to an oracle Aeneas will destroy her most favored city, Carthage though Aeneas dosen’t have intention to do it. Another reason why Juno has a great anger to Aeneas is because Aeneas is a Trojan. Aeneas also lost his lover, Dido who is the queen of Carthage. Dido is madly in love to Aeneas but when Aeneas is about to leave she ended her life.

These were just an examples of the sufferings Aeneas had suffered. And it is also some of the reasons why I pity this great hero.

She with the most Captivating Smile

Mona Lisa is one of the most beautiful paintings in the world. Made by the one and only Leonardo Da Vinci that gave so many contributions to the fields of science, math, architecture, and the arts. Leonardo Da Vinci is one of the best painters and it is mainly because of Mona Lisa and her mysterious smile.

Mona Lisa for me, is a beautiful woman. I see such a positive attitude as I look at her. She looks very understanding just like a mother. I feel this sudden warmth as I look at her. She is really beautiful. Her smile is somewhat mysterious. It is different. But It is still beautiful. The smile of Mona Lisa looks as if there is something hidden behind that smile. That whoever looks at it would have the urge to know more of the painting and not just look at it and admire the strokes. They would want to look at the past of the painting.

Mona Lisa’s smile is very different indeed but the more you look at it. The more you will understand the painting’s true beauty.
The Seven Sins I Make~

Many of us, let's admit, commit sins but most of them, we did not mean it. It's just that we are people to commit sins like anybody else.As for me, I commit sins too that I cannot avoid. These are just seven of the sins I commit.
Seventh Field of Punishment: I copy, you copy.
This sin is common to all students. The moment wherein we all don't have an assignment and we will copy to each other. We know that this is bad but it's just that we are too busy for many things that we forget to do some of our home works or projects. We may have an assignment for that but, take note, in that manner, we are not learning so there's a possibility we may skip whatever lesson we don't understand and might not answer a thing in the periodic test.

Sixth Field of Punishment: Lazy Cat
I admit that there are times wherein I get too lazy to do things. I get lazy to do my projects so my teachers always get mad. No matter what, I am trying to lessen this laziness in order to comply and submit early. The punishments I get is the minus points in my projects.

Fifth Field of Punishment: I lie.
There are times when I lie because I don't want to admit the truth. Still, I have my own reasons why. It's just that I keep it for myself or I know that it won't do anything good. But unfortunately, even though we think it's best to lie, it's still a sin. As much as possible, I avoid lying but can't still ignore the fact that I am lying.

Fourth Field of Punishment: Hate Late.
I could not avoid sometimes that I became late. Yes, the number one policy at school is being on time always. But there are just some unavoidable measures that happen why I get late. There's that I wasn't able to wake up on time or my mother forgets to wake me up. But no matter what my reasons are, I get scolds from sir Tom whenever I am late.

Third Field of Punishment: I Don't Obey Sometimes
At school, there are certain rules to be followed. Like maintaining the proper haircut for boys. As for me, I was not always able to maintain it because of my reasons. Sometimes, I get too busy on my projects to go to the parlor or I get too tired from school works that I just rest and avoid getting haircuts. My punishment? You would not like it. Sometimes, we are sent outside and get zero for an output or getting scold by sir Tom.

Second Field of Punishment: Cramming becomes a Habbit
Students like me cannot avoid cramming. I cram merely because I still have lots of things to do. These works I am doing is not only for school works but also at home. I do the chores that's why I miss my projects. And sometimes, I sleep too much that I forgot to do the things I will do. My punishment is that most of my times goes to cramming and I don't have anymore time to eat, like in recess or lunch.

First Field of Punishment: Speaking Tagalog
In Cavite National Science High School, it is not allowed to speak in tagalog. But there are just some naughty students like me that keeps on speaking out native language. But I always try speaking in english because I get minus points when I speak tagalog and I try practicing myself to get used to that language.

A Minute in the Garden

I was walking in the garden of our school when I saw someone walking towards me. It was my classmate, Micah. She asked me how I was these past few days. "Im fine."  replied plainly. "Oh really.. so howd'ya spend your Christmas break?" She asked with a smile on her face. I told her how happy I was when I got the chance to ride a horse in Baguio for the first time and how I hated the climate there. "You know, it was so cold I feel like dying!" I said with an excitement. She laughed so hard and I was just standing before her, having the poker face. "And what's funny?". "Its just that..you're not used to that awesome place. Nothing, I just find it funny. Just enjoy the place next time okay?" She advised me. "Well..alright. I hope there is still that next time you are saying." I admitted. We realized it was the next time for our classes so we got back to our rooms and readied our things for the next subject.
