An Afternoon with William Shakespeare
That
afternoon, I was in the corner of the most famous library, reading books of my favorite author- William Shakespeare. Actually, I was half asleep that time.
Until I didn't realize I was snoring. The angry librarian approached me and
told me the rules over and over again. Kinda annoying, I know but I have no
choice to obey. I was really falling into sleep but an unexpected event
happened.
The pages of the book started moving
on its own. I was startled I could not move and the next thing I knew, I was in
the book. Yes, with William Shakespeare, that is. He waved and smiled at me. I
know he was glad to see me- a very fan of him. I approached him quickly and
asked the things I wanted to know. I asked him what was his inspiration for
those stories and he pointed out his family. We sat on a bench and he gave me a
piece of paper and pen. He also had one and I realized he wanted to play a game
with me. One of us had to be the winner- that is having the most number of
adjectives that relates with the one he will write on the paper. This is a
challenge for me, I know. He wrote down the word “wisdom”. I was mental blocked
at first because I saw him scribbling a lot of words. Without realizing, the
time was up and I was able to accomplish half of the number of words he wrote.
I see the look on his face- he was not disappointed but rather impressed of me.
Though I am not certain of the reason, I know he figured out that I did my
best.
Seconds later, someone was waking me
up. It was the angry librarian. Aw, so it was only a dream. I was fascinated of
what happened and about to fit into my mind that what happened is not real but
suddenly, an image on the book blinked at me- it was William Shakespeare.
